PARENTHOOD: A TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF DISCIPLESHIP

Some of us some of us sometimes wonder, Why can’t we act the way we do\or why we just grew up with some certain characters. Some even wonder why they can’t just let go of those character, habits, hobbies etc.

If you ask some or most of them they will tell you they grew up with it or learnt it from their parents or guardians. Some will even say they see their parents do it so, they adopted it and put it to use. Does this mean that what & who we become in life is partly dependent on what we learn from our parents? Some of these experiences may be good or bad but our choice to pick them up depends on us.

Normally, a new born child comes with the head blank but starts gaining memories as he/she grows up. In order to get knowledge, the first set of people he/she learns from, is the parent; what they do, language, how they speak, the kind of words they use, the kind of attitude they show around other people. Unconsciously, parents do a lot of things around their children, not knowing that the children are learning from them. Children of this new age are born with the ability to learn faster so, they pick up habits in a manner of days once they notice it.
